Description
The illustrated KA-BAR USMC Fighting-Utility Knife features a 7" part serrated clip point blade made of 1095 high carbon steel. The blade has an epoxy powder coat, blood groove, and USMC tang stamp. The stacked leather washer handle comes with powdered metal butt cap and carbon steel guard (butt cap and guard are powder coated). The KA-BAR USMC Fighting-Utility Knife is 11 7/8" overall, and weighs .68 pounds.
The KA-BAR synthetic sheath is made of fiberglass filled reinforced nylon. The synthetic sheath features two ways to keep the blade secure. A friction guard lock holds the blade inside the sheath, and a nylon retaining strap snaps around the handle for extra security. The sheath is also salt water resistant, so the blade will not cut through if the sheath is submerged in salt water. The KA-BAR synthetic sheath has several grommets and slots for tie-downs, and allows for a variety of carrying options.
